These enterprises have many famous brands such as "SYP", "ABM", "Star" and "White Butterfly", which are widely used in landmark buildings and major engineering projects such as Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Yangshan Deepwater Port.

History
1978
The predecessor of Shanghai Building Materials Group, Shanghai Building Materials Industry Management Bureau, was formally established in 1978.
1994
In 1994, Shanghai Building Materials Industry Management Bureau was restructured into Shanghai Building Materials (Group) Co., Ltd., which is under centralized management by Shanghai Construction Committee.
2000
In 2000, the management relationship of the group was transferred to Shanghai Economic Committee.
2003
In 2000, the management relationship of the group was transferred to Shanghai SASAC.
2008
In 2008, the whole assets of the building materials group were transferred to Shanghai Guosheng (group) Co., Ltd., which was established by Shanghai municipal government in the same year.
2014
The main business of the Building Materials Group was integrated into the Shanghai Land Group.
